Applications
SENSOREX sensors are particularly suited for use in severe environments or where an extended MTBF is necessary. A wide choice of options and our ability for custom design enable us to provide a solution for almost all applications. Multi step windings give one of the best size to stroke ratios available. Their small size make them ideal for position feedback within hydraulic cylinders and other servo-control applications. Sensorex also has a standard range of LVDT’s for intrinsically safe (Ex) and nuclear environments. By using our own hybrid technology, Sensorex also offers a range of DC-in, DC-out LVDT’s, which enable the user to dispense with signal conditionning and power supply considerations.

A proven and controlled technology
LVDT and RVDT inductive sensors are composed of a primary coil powered by an A.C. voltage and two secondary coils. Movement of the core rod will modify the voltage induced into each of the secondary coils. By demodulating the output signal, an analogue signal is obtained which will be proportional to the displacement.
As there is no need for mechanical contact between the core rod and housing, performance and reliability are guaranteed.
